Most Mackay weddings are assembled from parts. A ceremony in one suburb, a reception across town, a caterer who has never worked the room, and a taxi rank of guests trying to find the next venue before the light goes.
At Mantra Mackay, the whole day happens on one waterfront site. You say your vows in the gardens, walk to the marquee for photos as the marina lights come on, sit down to dinner cooked in our own kitchen, and your guests take the lift upstairs at the end of the night.
- No transfers between venues. Ceremony and reception are a short walk apart.

Ceremony
Your ceremony is complimentary
Book your reception with us and your ceremony package costs nothing extra. Both settings are on our grounds, metres from where your reception will be held.
- Marquee Garden. Lush tropical palms and manicured lawn, for an intimate, sheltered ceremony.
- Marquee Picket Fence. A more rustic setting looking out over the ocean.
Both include venue hire, up to 30 ceremony chairs and a signing table. Holding a ceremony with us but celebrating elsewhere? Ceremony only packages start from $600.
Latest ceremony commencement is 1pm.

The Marquee
A stylish freestanding marquee on the manicured lawns. Ocean views by day, marina lights by night. Available for both ceremony and reception.

The Marina View Room
Overlooking the tropical tranquillity of the marina. Full length folding doors let you enclose the room in air conditioned comfort or open it right up to the terrace.

Send the form and our Wedding Coordinator will arrange a time to walk you through both spaces and the ceremony gardens. Bring whoever you like.
Secure the date
Once you have decided, return the booking form with your deposit and the date is yours. We will confirm availability before you commit to anything.

The fun part. Unlimited planning appointments with your coordinator, right through to the run sheet for the day.

The things couples ask us first
Yes. If you book your reception with us, your ceremony package in either the Marquee Garden or the Marquee Picket Fence is included at no extra cost. That covers venue hire, up to 30 ceremony chairs and a signing table. If you only want a ceremony and are holding your reception somewhere else, ceremony only packages start from $600.
The Marquee seats 300 or holds 400 cocktail style. The Marina View Room seats 60 or holds 100 cocktail style. If your guest list sits between the two, or well below, we build bespoke packages for smaller weddings, so it is worth asking.
The Marquee does not trade on Sundays, so Sunday receptions cannot be held in that space. Talk to our coordinator about the Marina View Room and about Saturday evening options, which are the most requested and book out furthest ahead.
Yes, a minimum food and beverage spend applies to reception bookings, and it varies by space, date and season. Our coordinator will tell you the exact figure for your date rather than making you guess at it. Venue hire starts at $1,995 for the Marina View Room and $2,995 for the Marquee.
Upstairs. There are 79 four star suites on site, all with harbour or ocean views and private balconies, and your guests book them at discounted wedding rates. Nobody needs a taxi or a designated driver. You take the Deluxe King Spa Suite through our Honeymoon and Bridal package at $309 per couple.
The latest ceremony commencement is 1pm. Most couples build the day around late afternoon photos on the marina, with the light coming off the water, and move into the reception as the marina lights come on.
Yes. Every menu has vegetarian and vegan options built in, and because the food is cooked in our own kitchen rather than by an external caterer, we can work around allergies and specific requirements guest by guest. Raise them with your coordinator during planning.
